Phase konfigurátor

Objective:

The goal was to build an online configurator for the furniture brand Phase, where customers put together a sofa to their own taste from home — on a computer or a phone — see right away what it will look like, what it will cost and when it will arrive, and can order it on the spot.

Creative Process:

We built the configurator in Unity and shipped it as a WebGL application, so it runs directly in the browser with nothing to install. The customer moves through it step by step: first the model, then the shape of the set, and then, in a 3D view, the dimensions of the individual parts, the upholstery, the legs and the functions. Every change shows up immediately on the 3D model and in the price.

The configurator’s data, such as the range of models and their previews, is loaded from a Strapi backend, so that content can change without a new build of the application.

Results:

Phase launched the configurator in September 2025 on its Slovak and Czech websites.

• Step-by-step configuration: Model, shape of the set, dimensions of the parts, upholstery, legs and functions.
• Instant 3D preview: The sofa is redrawn after every change, with an option to display its dimensions.
• Price and delivery date: The current price, including any discount, and the estimated delivery date stay visible throughout the configuration.
• PDF quote: The finished configuration can be downloaded as a quote or sent by email.
• Online ordering: The sofa can be ordered straight from the configurator.
• Computer and mobile: The same application works in desktop and mobile browsers.

Conclusion:

The Phase configurator moves choosing a made-to-measure sofa from the showroom into the browser: customers see exactly what they are ordering before they buy. And those who would rather see the sofa in person can bring a finished configuration to the showroom.
